Clay’s books were designed to minimise interventions by the teacher. “No, your master is not answering any questions” he told the class in Think and Speak (1929) — “this is your work, just as this is your lesson.” I too have tried to create materials that can studied alone. Even better, study with family or friends. A spirit of sharing, even a touch of competition, stimulates creativity and broadens knowledge.
But this isn’t always possible. So if you do need a little extra help, why not send me some of your work? Don’t think of me as a teacher, but as a member of the same class. I will look at what you share with me, and tell you my ideas in return. If you find my help useful you can buy me a coffee.

I began making this website in 2013, after I realised that long-term health problems would mean I would never be conventionally employed.
