Bible Readings

A selection of passages from the King James Bible, for reading practice.

The following eighteen items have been tagged Bible Readings.

These posts are selections from the Authorized Version and are intended primarily for practice in reading aloud. Each story is broken up into short pieces for easier study. They include classic tales such as the Creation and the Great Flood, as well as collections of the Parables of Jesus and his Miracles. Also included is the libretto of the oratorio Messiah, first performed in 1742, which composed entirely of well-chosen quotations from the Authorized Version telling the Christian story.

The posts are currently sorted in the order in which they were added to the site.
