St Wilfrid and the Angel of Light

In 678, Wilfrid of York was deprived of his See by King Ecgfrith, who threw him in jail. However, the guards testified that as the Bishop was singing psalms, even though it was the middle of the night and he had no lamps, a blinding light shone in his cell.
