Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

BLESSED is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.

Have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

O Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed. My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long? Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies’ sake.

O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me: Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death. Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee. Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity. The Lord is my strength and my shield.

In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: for thou art my strength. Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off?

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble; he is a great King over all the earth.

But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me.

I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. The goodness of God endureth continually. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.

Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication; Attend unto me, and hear me.

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. I will not fear what flesh can do unto me; this I know; for God is for me.

Verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me. Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence. The God of my mercy shall prevent me: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.

Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name. For my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

O God, thou art my God [Bede: strength]; Early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee. To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

O God of our salvation: thou that art the hope of all the ends of the earth.

All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard: Which holdeth our soul in life. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; God shall bless us.

Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

Hear me, O Lord; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies. And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD.

For God is my King of old. O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.

When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth.

I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me. In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord.

But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not.
